To launch Fuji Xerox’s Color 1000 Press. We came up with the thought that owning one would be like having ‘A Licence to Print Money’. So we created a DM campaign that invited our audience to do exactly that. We invented the fictious country of Fuljikistan, its culture and characters, then invited our audience to meet with the its Reserve Bank Governor at a launch meeting to hear his plea for help in printing their dwindling currency.
I had the pleasure of writing it all - from the letter, to its history, to its peculiar customs and inventions - right down to its national anthem - which was performed by an actor at the launch event. It was an absolute pleasure to craft and it was a roaring success.
